OpenVPN - An Open Source VPN Solution by James Yonan

OpenVPN is a full-featured SSL VPN solution which can accomodate a wide range of configurations, including home/office/campus telecommuting, secure branch office linking, and enterprise-scale remote access solutions with load balancing, failover, and fine-grained access-controls.

Windowsから簡単に接続できるVPN(要はPPTP)を導入したい、と思いつつもオフィスにWindowsサーバは無い。LinuxでPPTPをやろうと考えたがどうもムズいらしくて超メンドイ。というか、Fedora1では無理っぽい。そんなこんなで、調べて出てきたのがOpenVPN。

早速、ブリッジ方式で、サーバLinux、クライアントWindowsで導入してみた。Ethernet Bridging Mini-HOWTO、OpenVPN on Windows notesを参項に。

っていうのが2ヶ月ぐらい前の話。それからは家に帰った後や土日などに繋げまくってる。もはやこれ無しでは仕事できない！いや、出来るんだけど自宅で仕事する場合必須。オフィス出る時に急いで自宅にファイル転送とかしないですむし。

転送速度も問題なくかなりスムーズにファイル転送などが出来る。VNCもサクサク。因みにサーバ側は光で、クライアント側はADSL。
